This may have something to do with the higher average purchase price for Tesla models. The Tesla Model 3 is cheaper than anything offered by Rivian, however the Model S Plaid and all versions of the Model X have higher MSRPs than Rivian models.
In addition, Rivian insurance rates will adjust after the wheels hit the road, so to speak.
